The more I try to move forward the more i stay the same
Ok.... so it has been a few months since my last post. Why is that?! I have no honest answer. My medical issues seem to be getting better but I am not fixed. It is still very hard to sit for periods of time to do any type of artwork.... I have to have hernia surgery but keep pushing it back due to work. I owe some artwork to people that i am slowly getting done and I feel horrible about it. HOWEVER!!!! I had a life altering experience last week. I saw a motivational speaker. Yeah I know, I felt the same way as most of you do BUT HE WAS GREAT! He gave me a tremendous mental kick to my ass. Really gave me some tools to be a better person, happier person. Tools to help me get more motivated, creative, make and exceed my goals!
So I am going to be posting every day. About what is going one with me creatively between the comics and the graphic design.
So with that said I am going to be posting all I design and create here before I post it to my website. Also I am going to be starting to do commissions again. I have two that I am finishing up and will let everyone know when I am offically going to start.
Here is my first posting. This cover was approved by Dynamite for Red Sonja. Penciled by the legendary Artist Pablo Marcos. Enjoy!

Florida Supercon and Creature Con Pt 2
Let me start by saying how cool it was making new friends and fans at the show. The first pic s of Paul C., his lovely GF and myself. Man my face is chubby! Anyway, Paul was kind enough to buy my bobbleheads I had on display at the show. He also picked up a print I had and we had some good conversations. Paul is a very cool guy and hung around for the whole weekend! Needless to say it was very cool getting to know them and I am very thankful that they like my work! You two Rock!!!The show itself was pretty fun. It was in a large area with a stage as u came in and the artists and dealers all thrown in together. I sat next to fantastic Disney artist Richard Green and his mom. We have done a few shows together and I am amazed at how he talented he is. Very cool stuff.
On Friday I had an inking panel with Tom Nguyen, Christian Almay, and Ralph Cabrera. All are extremely talented inkers and it was a privilege to do the panel with them. It was a lot of fun and we had a good turn out. Here is the link on you tube "Inking Panel!". There are 5 parts and for the record! I did not know that they would be taping it otherwise i would have spit out my gum beforehand!...sigh I look like a cow!
Saturday was very busy doing commissions and promoting "stanley the snowman". Did a Jason wearing an iron man's mask for a charity auction. It wasn't that great but it made some money. I didn't have a chance to meet Bruce Cambell but I got some cool pics of him. Ill post later. Also talked with Ted Raimi, very nice guy!
Sunday was pretty slow so I chatted with Tom, Christian, Rob Granito, Sean Shaw and a few others. Did some more commissions. Talked with Paul again and then met Chris Claremont! He is the reason I got into comics. His x-men started me reading comics and then got me to want to do comics. It was a nice guy and I was happy to get a pic with him!

So that was the show! The DoubleTree was very nice to stay at although the elevators were very scary! The show was success for me and I am looking forward to doing the next one! In my next post I will be putting up inking stuff that I am working on to keep everyone in the loop! Until Then....

Florida Supercon and Creature Con
Well the last few weeks have been a tornado of comic book activity! First I was at Creature con the last weekend of May. It was a brand new show and I always try to support and/all florida venues! It was held at the Fairgrounds in Orlando.... in the last building. The staff was very nice and it was a full room but very slow, not a lot of people. I got to judge an art contest so that was fun! Met a few people and sold some Stanley the Snowman preview book! SO all n all a productive show!
This past weekend I went down to Miami for Florida Supercon. It had been a few years since I had gone to it so it was cool coming back down!. Cayce Moyer, my penciler for Stanley the Snowman was there also so we were reppin Stanley! I will have a complete recap of the show this week with pictures but I wanted to say thanks to Richard (fellow viking's fan) and Paul for picking up all my bobbleheads! All the people I met and reconnected with: Thank you very much for making the show so good for me! More to come....
